August Favorites | Beauty

I can't believe August is nearly over! With the first day of September, fall beginns to slowly creep its way back into our lives with its sweater weather and rainy days.

For me, August has been one hell of a busy month. Because the majority of my summer break happens during August, I was on the move pretty much all the time - I travelled more than ever and made so many amazing memories, so you can imagine that my heart is breaking at the thought of my favorite month being over.

For most of the past month, very much like in July, a heatwave has been sweeping across Germany, blessing/cursing us with temperatures up to 40 degrees Celsius - which I was happy about at first, but really, what European can handle those kinds of temperatures for next to to months on end? Not me.
The extreme weather is probably showing in my favorite products of the month as well.

Maybelline Dream Pure 8-In-1 BB Cream (12,99)

I didn't wear make up a lot during August most of the time due to the heat that made me feel all kinds of gross, but one day, when I was getting ready to go out with my friends, I realized that I had a problem. Due to the tan that I got during the first few days of August, my foundation was suddenly way too light for me.

I found Maybelline's BB cream while rumaging through my drawers, and I was almost estatic when I swatched it and it matched my skin tone.
What I like about this is that it feels insanely light on the skin while managing to make my pores appear smaller and hiding any redness that I had going on.
Sadly, the shade 'light' is too dark for my skin when I'm not tanned, so sadly this will probably stay a summer fling.

Lush's Mask of Magnaminty (7,95€)

It's no secret that I love everything Lush, and their face masks are not exception. Their 'Cupcake' mask helped me rid my skin of redness and spots a lot, so I had high expectations for the Mask of Magnaminty, which I had heard lots of great things about.
And rightly so! Using this twice a week to exfoliate my skin has improved it more than I hoped for.
I love sitting down to read a magazine while this mask gives my skin a deep cleanse. Its smell of mint makes me feel even more at ease and clean.

If you want to find out more about this product, I have a review about it up here.

KIKO Smart Lip Pencil in 702 (2,50€)

As I mentioned earlier, August was kind of my 'no make up month', but when I got myself to do my make up, it mostly consisted of only my BB cream and a bright lippy, which is usually waaay out of my comfort zone, but when I re-discovered this gem, I desperately wanted to get more wear out of it.

KIKO's lip pencils are pretty creamy, which makes application a whole lot easier. I also found the color pay-off amazing for a lip pencil, the shade stayed vibrant for hours without fading or smudging.
The quality you get for such low price is definitely outstanding!
702 is a bright coral shade, which I thought was a perfect summer shade, especially when you've got a slight tan going on.

John Frieda Frizz Ease 'Beyond Smooth' Shampoo (8,99€)

To me, summer is tanning and loads and loads of swimming - and with that comes frizzy hair.
When I, at one point, was struggling to even brush my hair, I knew that it was time to switch up my hair cair products in order to do something about my hair's horrendous state.

I had read some reviews by bloggers who were really happy with John Frieda's products, so I picked up their Frizz Ease Beyond Smooth shampoo when it was on offer, and that was one of the best decisions I ever made.
This shampoo has made my hair so unbelievably smooth, while also getting rid of all the frizz within just a few washes, and my hair's condition has been nothing but great ever since I started using this!

Victoria's Secret Hydrating Body Lotion in 'Love Spell' (12,95€)

One thing you need to know about me is that my skin does not get tan - it gets red. Every single time I try to tan, even though I'm wearing layers of sunscreen. Fab.

Because of my recurring sunburns, I was forced to mosturizes my skin almost 24/7, and once I ran out of my Body Shop body sorbet, I had to find something else to use.
Luckly, there was a travel sized version of the hydrating body lotion included in the Victoria's Secret 'Layers & Love' set I picked up while I was in the US last year.

This body lotion seems to have quite the thick consistency at first, but it does sink into the skin fairly quickly, leaving the skin all smooth and silky.
What I also love about this is that it smells of cherry blossoms and peach, which is absolutely heavenly.

What have you been loving in August?

A Skin Savior | Beauty

Usually, summer works wonders for my skin. Well, emphasis on usually.
I don't know what happened, but for some reason my skin decided to full on break out by the time August rolled around, which left me feeling insecure, and most of all, angry - because I go several months without any issues, and as my vacation nears, my chin turns into the hotspot for red spots. Incredible.

On top of that, I'm someone who's really fussy with their skincare. I've experienced more than enough allergic reactions to products in the pasts, so I often hold back from trying out new stuff because I' afraid that it'll cause my skin to break out even more.

I was stuck in the same dilemma with Lush's "Mask of Magnaminty" which I picked up at the beginning of August, when I had run out of my trusty Cupcake mask and shit really hit the fan.
Do I try it and risk my skin to look worse? Or do I not and eventually miss out on the good effects it might have?

In the end, I ended up putting this off for way too long.

Lush calls this mask a "multi-purpose mask with a mixture of gentle yet effective ingredients to clean, calm and clear the skin", some of the ingredients mentioned are vanilla absolute, peppermint oil and honey.

The first few times I opened up the tub the smell of mint was actually a bit overpowering for me, but I got used to that pretty quickly.

Once applied to the skin, the mask feels insanely cooling and fresh, which is very nice compared to various masks that made my skin all kinds of itchy.

After letting it dry up for the recommended five to ten minutes, you are instructed to carefully wash the mask of with warm water.

I don't think my skin has ever felt more smooth than after washing this mask of. On top of that, my skin is left feeling refreshed, clean and smelling faintly of mint, which I like a lot.

Despite my worries, while it makes my skin feel a little tight right, the mask has not once caused any irritations whatsoever. It even helped my skin clear up a lot during continued use!

All in all, I think it's clear that with this mask, Lush have once again done my skin a huge favor.
I love watching my skin improve more and more with each and every use, and even though at first sight, the container might look kind of small to you, you really get a hell load of uses out of it.

I'm definitely excited to try out more of the masks Lush has to offer in the future.
What is your favorite one out of the bunch?

Europa Park Adventure Outfit | Fashion

Guess who's back, back again?

As some of you may know, I was on holiday last week, and what better place to spend the most wonderful time of the year at my number one happy place?
I've been visiting the "Europa Park" ever since the year I turned nine - which I just realized, is a really long time. How did I grow up so fast?
It's the second largest amusment/theme park in Europe (only beaten by Paris' Disneyland) and is a park themed around 13 different European countries, every single one of which features the country's food, music to add to the overall vibe and, most importantly, killer rollercoasters (and other rides, but let's be real here, the rollercoasters are the ones that make me go all heart eye emoji.)
If you're interested to hear more about this beautiful place full of adventure and excitement and glorious food, keep your eyes peeled - I'm going to dedicate an entire post to our trip there soon.

We spent three days there, and they really were amazing. Something about this park feels so magical to me - yes, even more than Disneyland - and not only the location and surroundings, but also the staff make you feel so at home and cosy that I wish I could live there.

We spent three days there, I didn't have too many great photo ops on the second and third one, so I'm still debating whether or not to share those two outfits with you.
However, my wonderful assistant - thanks, Mom - managed to snap away quite a lot on Saturday.

The day started out kind of cold and cloudy, so I decided to opt for my trusty dark blue jeans and a cardigan that I picked up from Primark while I was in Berlin.
I had bought the tank top specifically for this trip, so I was really excited to show it of. It has tiny (plastic) pearls running along the tribal pattern on its straps, which I found to a nice twists to a simple black top.
As I knew that I'd be on my feet for around 12 hours every single day, I decided that my Nike Free's were the shoes to go with. Wearing these makes you feel like you're walking on clouds - they're that comfy.
I've also really been into Accessorize's arrow necklace lately, which I actually won in Sarah's giveaway a while back. It goes with next to all of my outifts and I love the stone detais on the arrow.

A Fool-Proof Taco Recipe | Lifestyle

Ever since moving out earlier this year, I've had to cook a lot more than I used to do, which led to me living off toast and cereal for weeks because I came to relize that, oh my god, I hardly know how to cook.

I got tired of making the same three or four meals that I know how to cook over and over all the time - and when I invited friends over to my new place for the first time, I headed over to Pinterest, hoping to find some new recipes because I was seriously lacking inspiration and quite honestly on the verge of a mini breakdown.

I stumbled upon this recipe for tacos, which looked easy enough, yet sounded pretty darn delicious.
And it definitely was! The instructions were really easy to follow, so us girls had no trouble prepearing the tacos. And if a bunch of teens can cook up this dish, I'm pretty sure you should be able to, too!

As this has easily turned into my favorite dish - and it's totally healthy as well because there's vegetables in it, right? - I decided to share it with you guys.

Ingredients:

- 2 lbs ground beef (alternatively chicken/turkey)

- 1 onion, diced

- 1 can tomato sauce

- 1 can refried beans

- 2 cups shredded cheese

- 18-20 hard taco shells

Optinal Ingredients:

- Lettuce (shredded)

- Tomato (diced)

- Pepper (diced)

- Salsa

- Sour Cream

- Guacamole

Homemade Taco Seasoning:

- 1 tabelspoon chilli powder

- 1/4 tabelspoon garlic powder

- 1/4 tabelspoon onion powder

- 1/4 tabelspoon dried oregano

- 1/2 teaspoon paprika

- 1 teaspoon pepper

- 1 teaspoon salt

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees celsius.
In a large skillet brown the meat of your choice and onion over medium-high heat. Drain of any excess liquid.
Return to the pan, add your refired beans as well as the tomato sauce and homemade taco seasoning.
Mix well and cook for a few minutes until the mixture doesn't seem runny anymore.

Spoon the meat mixture into the taco shells and add all the optional ingredients you would like to include in your taco, like lettuce or tomatoes.
Place the tacos in a baking dish, standing up. Then sprincle the tacos with the shredded cheese.

Place into the ofen and bake at 200 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the tacos are heated through.

What is your absolute favorite dish?

How The 'Pretty Little Liars' A-Reveal Let Us All Down | Lifestyle

Before I get into all this, beware: If you have not watched Pretty Little Liars' summer finale yet, you might want to run while you still can, because I'm definitely going to spoil it for you in just a split second.

Amongst the huge amount of TV shows I've watched, Pretty Little Liars might be my favorite TV show of all time. For some reason, it got me hooked on all its mysteries and drama for almost two years now, so naturally, I was over-excited to finally find out who has been behind the alias 'A' on Tuesday.

My friends and I had planned a viewing party, because gurl can't take all this suspension on her own, and we waited eagerly until two in the morning (!) because us Germans are just so damn unlucky when it comes to th air-time of US TV shows.

After what was promoted as "The Summer Of Answers" by the network, we had still only found out little to no real clues regarding A's identity, but when the episode started, we were still pretty positive and eager to finally put a face to that name.

A few minutes into the episode, the bomb was officially dropped - CeCe Drake has been the liars' tormentor all this time!

That alone actually didn't upset me, I had read a ton, and I mean hours worth of theories about who could be A/Charles during the weeks before the finale, and I came across some very, very well tought out ones featuring CeCe.

What did leave me feeling like I kind of wasted two years of my life waiting for that reveal was next to everything that followed.
CeCe explained that she is actually Charles, who was sent to the mental institution Radley as a young child for putting his baby sister Alison in the bathtub in order to stop her from crying and "make her feel better". In Radley, Charles became good friends with Bethany, the girl that Mrs. DiLaurentis payed visits to years later. We were shown that it was indeed Bethany who pushed Marion Cavanaugh, Toby's mother, off Radley's roof - which she blamed on Charles.

At quite a young age, Charles started dressing in his mothers clothes and continued doing so after he was sent away. Somewhere between the Marion incident and Mrs. DiLaurentis faking Charles' death, Charles decided to go through a gender change, eventually becoming Charlotte, who we have known as CeCe Drake all this time.

Charlotte became a very studious young woman and due to that was allowed to attend classes at UPenn. Around that time, she started dating Jason - who is her brother, might I add. Is this Game of Thrones now? - to be closer to her family.

The night Alison dissapeared, Bethany stole Charlotte's clothes and fled Radley thinking that Mrs. DiLaurentis had an affair with her father, possibly plotting revenge. Charlotte took after her and hit Ali, who she tought was Bethany, on the head with a rock. After burying Ali, Mrs.DiLaurentis payed Wilden to take CeCe back to Radley and keep quiet about it. And well, the rest is, as they say, history.

My problem with this reveal is that it felt insanely rushed, which eventually led to a ton of unneeded plotholes. For some reason, Marion apparently died when Charles was still young - yet Marion was very well alive when Alison tried to seduce Toby when they were teenagers. Huh? Same goes for Red Coat, who was said to have an individual scene with each of the liars, and Black Widow, who we apparently saw unmasked in season four - all lies, as Sara Harvey, who is starting to get well on my nerves, was revealed to be both of the above. I was very let down by that, not gonna lie, because Sara has been around for a total of five episodes and was introduced this season, so she feels pretty irrelevant to the entire plot. And we don't even know how she got to know CeCe. Damnit.

On top of that, the episodes leading up to this summer finale included red herrings, false evidence - donated organs? - random characters, but no answers. All the answers we got were crammed into a 45 minute long episode - how could that ever work out - so obviously, quite a few questions were left unanswered, leading Marlene King, the series developer, to answer said questions in an interview.

Obviously, some might still be answered in the upcoming time jump, which did look pretty exciting. The liars seem to be up against a new Big Bad, who appears to be a male, five years later.

That turned into one hell of a rant, didn't it? Woah.
Sorry for that verbal diarrhea that just happened all over your screen, but I just really felt the need to voice my opinon, because quite frankly, I feel let down and angry.

Obviously, there are people who liked the episode because everyone has a different mindset on the show, and we were told that "the producers are not aiming to please everybody", but from the reactions after the finale, the majority of the fanbase was sad, angered or at the very least insanely dissapointed.

I hope that the team working on this show somehow manages to make up for all this mess during season 6B, which will air in January 2016, because really, I love this show to death and I'm curious to see how it continues, but this episode, even though it was so important for the development of the show's plot, was a total letdown.

How Much Is My Face Worth? | Beauty

I don't consider myself someone who splurges on high-end make up all too much because most of the time, I'm either really short on funds or put myself on some kind of spending ban to save money, but as every make up addict, I sometimes slip up and end up buying enough products to last me for what feels like a lifetime.

Having a decent sized collection of beauty bits makes it kind of hard to keep track of how much I really spent on it all over the years, so when I saw the lovely Lizzie do a post on her blog in which she tried to find out how much all the products she wears on a daily basis are worth in total, I thought it would be a fun idea to do that myself!

Base

1. Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in 'Light Porcelain' 12.95€

2. Benefit Erase Paste in 'Light' 29€

3. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 'Transparent' 5.75€

4. Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in 'Nude Mauve' 8.49€

5. Essence So Glow! Cream To Powder Highlighter in 'Bright Up Your Life' 2.79€

Eyes

1. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in 'Eden' 23.05€ (full size)

3. Maybelline Lasting Drama 36h Gel Liner in 'Black Shock' 11.85€

4. Avon Super Shock Mascara 9€

Lips

1. Eos Lipbalm in 'Vanilla Mint' 5,99€

2. PS... Love Lipliner in 'Nude' 1,50€

3. MAC Lipstick in 'Kinda Sexy' 20€

-----

So, in total, my face is worth 171.17€!

Woah, I really didn't expect it to be this much - it looks like such a huge sum of money!
If you think about it, it's insane how much money goes into something that I kind of just take for granted - and these are only the products that I wear on an average day - I don't even want to know how much more I invested into the products that are lying around in my drawers.

My Mom would probably slap my wrist if she ever saw this, so let's pray she never will!

A Week In Berlin | Travel

Coming from a semi-big town, metropoles have always been intriguing to me. They seem to be so full of life with so many different, interesting people roaming the streets and there must be so much to see and explore there.

That's why Berlin has always been a city that I dreamt of - it is the German metropole. Sadly, I had never gotten the chance to visit it - well, until the beginning of July.
That's when my classmates and I set off for a trip that we've been planning for months.

Obviously, the trip was initiated by our school, which meant that we had worked out a schedule of what we would see with our teacher, but it still had a holiday-like atmosphere.

outside the Bundestag

inside and on top of the Bundestag

After we had arrived in Berlin on our first day, one of the big items on our "to-see" list was the Bundestag, which is where Germany's current parliamet sits. After we had plenty of time to take artsy pictures in front of the building, we were let inside where we got to listen about a talk about its history and architecture, which was pretty interesting even for someone like me who's pretty clueless regarding those two subjects.

Following that, we were given the opportunity to take the elevator all the way up to the top of the building, which we obviously did.
The view was absolutely breathtaking, especially as we were there at noon and got to watch the sunset over Berlin's skyline.

I would totally recommend visiting this place when you're in Berlin, even if you're not a sucker for politics - if only for the view. It really is that good!

Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe

We didn't have too much planned for our second day other than a city tour in the morning, shopping in the evening and going clubbing at night, so there weren't too many things worth taking photos of.
During our city tour, however, we stopped at the "Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Eurpe", also known as the "Holocaust Memorial", which consists of nearly 3000 concrete slabs seperated by small paths, allowing you to walk in between them.

Standing in the middle of that field of slabs gives you such an uneasy feeling, it's really hard to describe. The atmosphere was really heavy and even though it just looks like bare blocks of concrete from the outside, you'll get a completely different view from the inside. It was moving, but very impressive.

"Unter den Linden"

Brandenburger Gate

After only a few hours of sleep and with quite the aching feet due to the dancing the night before, we explored Berlin mostly by foot on our third day.
We walked the famous boulevard "Unter den Linden"- that means "below the linden trees"- which sits at the heart of Berlin's historic center.

We obviously didn't want to miss the Brandenburger Gate, which was nearby. It is Berlin's widest known symbol and we felt almost obligated to take a few pictures in front of it. Because have you really been to the Berlin if there's no photo of you in front of the Brandenburger Gate?

Potsdamer Platz

We also visited the Potsdamer Platz, which is one of Berlin's important public squares and one of the places practically pulsing with life. There's so may things to see here, from one gigantic cinema, to loads of food shops , to the "Arkarden", a huge mall that we sadly couldn't fully explore.
Especially the coffee shops were my friend and life saver during this week while I was running on around four hours of sleep every day - because I can rest when I'm back home, right?

Checkpoint Charlie

Later that day, we had planned to see the more historical sights of Berlin, one of which was the Checkpoint Charlie. While we didn't have too much time to explore due to an insanely full packed schedule, looking around and realizing that once Berlin was seperated into different sections right where you were standing was a weird feeling that I'll not forget for a while.

Berlin Cathedral

I think it's safe to say that the Cathedral was one of the prettiest, if not the prettiest building I came across during our week in Berlin. It's so huge that you can already see it from afar, but up close, it's even more impressive. All the little detailing that went into the outter design of it actually made my jaw drop a little, no lie.
Inside the Cathedral, you can not only explore the crypt of a royal German family, but also climb the stairs all the way up to its dome for another breathtaking view over Berlin.

"He who wants to world to remain as it is doesn't want it to remain at all."
East Side Gallery

One of the greatest sights we visisted was the East Side Gallery, which is a 1.3km long fraction of the original wall that was painted by various artists in 1990.
It's both the longest obtained piece of the wall that once divided Berlin and the largest and longlasting open-air gallery in the world. Wow!
I really enjoyed walking along the entire wall and taking my time to look at all the paintings even though we were kind of rushed. All the artwork is amazing and there were some really deep and inspiring quotes featured on there as well.

In my opinion, this is the one thing you simply have to see in Berlin, even if you don't have time to check out anything besides this.

Olympiastadion

On our fourth day in Berlin, we were shown around the Olympiastadion, which was originally built for the Olympics in 1936 and has been used as a football stadium ever since then.
There is so much tradition surrounding this stadium and as someone who is pretty into football, I was so excited to see this with my own eyes.

Our guide even showed us around the places you'd never see during a match on TV or even when you're attending a game yourself, like the area the guests of honours are seated as well as the place they get to hang out before and after the match or the press conference room which was still decorated from the Champions League final.
Definitely a must see for sports fans!

Viktoria Park

During the rest of the day, we visited a museum amongst a few other places which I sadly didn't get to take pictures of.

Our last stop was Viktoria Park which is located in Kreuzberg. This is definitely one of Berlin's hidden gems, a quiet park with some seriously nice waterfalls and, once you've climed up a humongous hill, this nice view that I took a snap of.
Such a nice, peaceful place to come to once the city gets a little too much for you and you want to take a break to breathe.

Sadly, we had to leave the next day which left us all devastated as we felt like we didn't get to see everything that we wanted to and that there were still so many more places left for us to explore.

If you've always eyed up Berlin as a place that you might want to travel to, I say go for it.
It is a huge city that has so many things to see for people with a lot of different tastes so that you'll always find something that you absolutely love about the city.

Next to all of the people we met during our journey were super nice and helpful, some even randomly decided to help us out when they realized that we were completely lost without us even asking them for directions.

I've visited quite a few cities here in Germany, but Berlin is by far my favorite - and I'm sure that we'll meet again.

Battling Frizz With John Frieda | Beauty

I love summer because of its warm weather and ll the swimming and sunbathing I get to do. But sadly, all of these things do take their tool on me throughout the season, wearing me out more than I'd like them to.

My body's never really handled extreme temperatures, whether it's boiling hot or freezing cold, but something that I hadn't experienced until this summer is my hair turning into what feels like dried leaves, crisp and dull.
Now, put the fact that my hair's usually really frizzy anyways into the mix and you have one big, tangly mess that is impossible to deal with. At one point, once I had managed to comb through it, it would go back to its original condition mere ten minutes after I had left the house.

As you can imagine, I was pretty fed up with dealing with hair like that on a daily basis, so I decided to check out some new haircare bits that I hoped would help me with what was starting to look like a birds nest on my head.

When I was wandering around the drugstore, I saw that there was an offer for John Frieda's Frizz Ease Beyond Smooth shampoo - what a mouthful - with which you get a small travel sized tube of it for free, so I decided to see if it could help me.

The shampoo claims to "provide immediate frizz-resistance and with continuing use the benefits get stronger - providing even smoother, more manageable and frizz-free hair over time" and I can very well stand by that statement.

After the first use, I noticed that my hair had gone a whole lot softer, and even though it was still quite dry, all the frizz had gone completely. My hair was so much easier to work with after the first wash, even though outside, the temperature was still around 35 degrees.

I've used this a couple of times since then, and my hair has only continued to improve. It both looks and feels more smooth and silky after every wash, with no frizz in sight.
I can finally comb through my hair again without feeling like I'm ripping half of it out, and styling it isn't a problem anymore, either.
On top of that, this shampoo smells absolutely delightful. I'm not a fan of really strong smells in any kind of product, but this has a faint, pleasant smell of fruit, which sticks around for at least a day after you washed used it.

Overall, I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is struggling with really frizzy hair that is hard or impossible to manage as you already can see the results after the first wash and with every use, the shampoo keeps improving your hair's condition.
It's a little pricier than your average shampoo at 8,99€ for a 250ml tube, but those extra Euros definitely pay off in the long term.

Have you tried any other products by John Frieda that are worth picking up?

Five To Follow | Lifestyle

[source]

Other people sit down at the breakfast table with the newspaper, I sit down to munch my cereal while I go through my bloglovin' feed, checking out all the new blog posts that had gone live while I was asleep. As you do.

I follow quite a large amount of blogs that cover all kinds of different topics, like beauty, lifestyle, travel, fashion - the list goes on. But amongst that number, there's always a few which stand out to me.

And because I stumbled upon some of them through a post very similar to this one, I decided to share my five favorite blogs with you because y'know, you might want to check them out for a laugh or some inspiration.

1. Hannah Gale

Hannah Gale, better know as the queen of lists, writes a blog that, in my opinion, every woman in her late teens/twenties should read at least once.
I always go to her when I'm looking for a read that'll make me laugh and feel better - most of the times it's her lists that'll have me cracking up.
Besides those, Hannah also blogs about her daily life, as well as fashion, travel and beauty.
Hannah is someone you will instantly relate to. She has an incredible personality which shines through in every single one of her posts.

If you're looking for a blogger with a strong personality and great writing skills, Hannah is your girl!

2. jasminehardingmakeup

Now, Jasmine's blog is my destination for all things beauty related. She posts once every single day, providing you with reviews, make up looks and tips.
The work and effort that goes into her blog definitely shows, and I can only imagine how hard she really works on it.
The one thing that I'm seriously envious of is her photography - the pictures Jasmine uses on her blog are clear and glossy, looking like they could be featured in magazines.

For someone who's into all things beauty and looking to widen their horizont, Jasmine's blog definitely is a must read.

3. Chocochic

I hardly follow any fashion blogs, but Steph's was just too good to pass up.
Her style is right up my alley and I love ooh-ing and aah-ing at all the amazing outfits she puts together and adding new pieces to my wishlist.
But Steph doesn't only blog about fashion, she also does "Tip Tuesdays" on which she offers various tips and tricks regarding blogging and how to improve your blog, which I, beeing a newer blogger, found really helpful.

For people who love fashion or for new bloggers, this Steph's blog is a great one to check out!

4. gh0stparties

Kate's blog is the all-rounder of the bunch. Whatever you're looking for - beauty, lifestyle, travel, interior - she has it all.
Besides her content, I love her blog's clean, easy to use design as well as her outstanding photography. Her blog, even more than the other one's I mentioned, could pass as a magazine.
She even has a section on her blog where she recommends her best make up, skin care and hair care bits.

If you're a little lazy and like blogs that cover all of your interests and needs, this might be the place of your dreams.

5. SarahAnne

Sarah's a special one for me, because just like me, she also is a teenager! I love reading about life from the view of someone who's my age and I feel like I can relate to her a lot.
Sarah's blog revolves around all things beauty, fashion and lifestyle - all written in a way that makes her sound a lot older than she's actually is - you'd never guess that she's just sixteen if it wasn't stated in her sidebar!

If you're mainly following blogs that are written by women in their twenties or thirties, you should give her blog a go. It might be refreshing to read about similar topics from the perspective of someone a lot younger.

My Favorite Summer Polish | Beauty

I've been thinking of good ways to start this post, but eventually they all led up to me sounding like some kind of addict in desperate need of a rehab. I know, I know. There must've been more than one moment in time where I said that I'd not buy any nail polish for a long while, but come on. We all secretly do that, right?

And as I was already going crazy while shopping in Berlin, walking into that one drugstore probably wasn't that much of a good idea, at least regarding my purse. But when I found myself standing in front of the Essie counter, ooh-ing and aah-ing at all the shades it had to offer, I decided, as I was already feelin' spendy, to go all the way. So I bought one. Which might've been one of the best decisions of my life.

I picked up "Bikini So Teeny", which is a pale blue shade that I've been admiring from afar for some time now. By looking at the bottle, you might think that it has some serious glitter running through it, but once applied to the nails, that glitter isn't noticeable at all.

I know, I have seriously small hands. Like, very small.

Quality wise, this is hands down the best nail polish I have ever tried. I'd never owned a polish by Essie prior to this one - shocking, I know, especially for someone who's as obsessed with painting their nails as I am - but amongst all the other brands that I tried, this one definitely stood out to me.

Even though it's more of a paler color, you'll only need two coats of the polish for it to look opaque. It's also insanely fast-drying, which I really appreciate as y'know, I'm one of those people who'll always, and I mean always, smudge at least one of their recently done nails because it was still not dry. Every damn time.

What impressed me most about this product, though, is its longevity. I had worn this shade for six day before it started chipping - six days! Most of the nail polishes that I own last for three or four, some only for two days. And there's a few pretty expensive ones amonst those.

All in all, I think it's safe to say that investing a few Euros more definitely pays off.
,Essie has an insane amount of shades to offer, and the quailty of them does not dissapoint. For 7,99€, you get a product which is outstanding in quality.

What's your favorite polish by Essie?
