Givenchy Le Vernis Intense Color Nail Lacquer

I am guilty of collecting nail polishes.

Whenever I go to the drugstore to pick up cotton pads, shower gel, or basically anything basic, I will always find myself picking up a new nail polish - either because it's a limited edition shade, or on sale, or I just think I haven't seen anything like it before.

But in my entire collection, which consists of a good 50 polishes, this one definitely stands out.

The Givenchy Le Vernis Intense Color Nail Lacquer surely isn't something I would get for myself at a retail price of 22,95€, no matter how big my obsession with nail polishes is.

But, if you have seen my birthday post, you will know that this was one of the incredible presents my friends got me.

I realized that even though I mentioned this in my February Favorites, I actually didn't go into too much detail about it, which I totally should have - so let's dive right into it.

The packaging of this is super chic.
The polish comes in a glass bottle with a silver, mirror like bit on top, which you can pull off to reveal the actual, black fastening.

There are more than ten shades availabe of this polish, but the one I own is "03 Rose Taffetas", which is a dark, coral-ish pink - in my opinion, it's a great shade for spring and summer.

It sure is a bit of a darker color, but in my opinion, it is still very wearable for school or work because it is still more of a subtle than a popping shade.

I really, really like the formula of this nailpolish.

It does have a really high coverage, so most of the time I only need to use one coat on my nails, and the color will look rich and perfect and have a shiny finish.

The product also dries rather quickly, which is a huge plus if you're an impatient klutz like me and always end up messing up your not completly dried polish.

The only downside of this is that sadly, it doesn't last too long without chipping - it takes two to three days, in my experiences, before the color will start going of the corners of my nails, which, for such an expensive product, isn't too great.

Verdict:

The range of shades, its super quickly drying, high coverage formula and shiny finish are all factors that make this nailpolish a favorite of mine.
However, it isn't as long lasting as I expected it to be with that price tag - which still doesn't put me off the product, if I'm honest, because its other aspects are just too good to ignore.

What is your most precious nail polish - or make up product in general?

Thank you so much for reading!
