September Favorites | Beauty

Alright, I'm seriously starting to feel like I'm being rushed through this year. Tomorrow will be the first of October, one of my absolute favorite months because we get all kinds of goodness, like Halloween, comfy sweaters and comfort food - and once that's over, in the blink of an eye, it'll be Christmas. What.

September itself has been one hell of a rushed month for me - I started working more again alongside going back to school, and I've basically spent my past time drowning in stuff I should get done, watching TV shows instead. Such a responsible adult, aren't I.

Make up wise, September has been all about transitioning from summer's bright colors to something a little more neutral or darker make up, and pretty much all of my favorite products from the past month pretty much depict that!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara (11,99€)

To me, mascara has always been kind of a tricky beauty product to buy - my teeny tiny lashes definitely need one that adds some serious lenght to them, but I also want something that adds a little bit of volume to them.

Especially for the lenght part, the 'Lash Sensational' was everything I ever wanted and more. It more than doubles my lashes' lenght! While it doesn't do as much in the volume department, it still makes those bad boys look blacker and fuller - this might be my holy grail mascara!

MAC Viva Glam II (20€)

I've usually got my shades of lipstick sorted all throughout the seasons - pinks during spring, corals during summer and berry shades during fall and winter.
September, though, was kind of an issue - it's not really fall yet, so wearing a berry lip isn't quite socially acceptable at our school, but it's not summer either.

So, as I always do when I struggle with finding the perfect lippie, I reach for a nude one. The ultimade nude.
MAC's Viva Glam II is a lighter brown shade with slight pink undertones and a little bit of shimmer to it, and it's one of the easiest shades for me to wear. It goes with next to all of my outfits and make up looks - it's an absolute allrounder!

If you want to read some more about this glorious lipstick, I have a review on it up here.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette (47,99€)

I think I've talked about this palette so much that my neighbor's dogs probably know about it by now. I also featured it in a previous favorites before, but I don't even care because I just love it so much.

Out of all my three Naked palettes, this one is definitely my favorite - it offers loads of neutral shades that are fairly easy to work with, most of the shades are just the right amount of shimmery while there's also a few mattes.
And for someone like me, who wears make up for up to ten hours a day, these eyeshadows are a blessing - they are so incredibly long-lasting and you experience next to no fall-out with them.

I've mostly been wearing 'Verve', a shimmery silver shade, often with 'Pistol' blended in the crease.

Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish - Rita Ora Summer Collection in 'Rain Rain Go Away' (4,16€)

I absolutely adore every single nail polish I've tried by Rimmel to date, and this one is no exception.
I actually picked it up around July when I ordered something else on feelunique and had to spend just a few more pennies to get free shipping - if you say you don't do this, you're lying - and even though it was part of their Summer Collection, I felt like the shade I bought was suited for fall a lot more.

'Rain Rain Go Away' is a very muted, almost grey-ish shade of purple. What really suprised me about this was its quality - I go for a swim twice a week and clean up the flat a lot as well, and this nail polish hardly even chipped when I wore it for an entire week. How amazing of a quality for such a small price is that?

Recent Reads #5 | Love Letters To The Dead

I seriously have no idea why I'm often drawn to books with rather dark plots because in all honesty, I'm pretty much a chicken shit in real life, but for some reason there is something about reading about sad or scary things that just gets me.

And, knowing that about me, a friend of mine recommended 'Love Letters to the Dead' to me - without really giving me any hints about the plot, just saying that I would probably really enjoy it.
So, I did what I always do - I looked for it in my local bookstore. And to my suprise, it was sitting there as if it was waiting for me - so home with me it went.

Now, maybe you're not so much about diving into a book without knowing anything about it as much as I am, so let me break the plot down to you first,

'Love Letters to the Dead' follows the story of Laurel, a fifteen year old freshman in High School whose sister May just died. The twist, though, is that it is told through letters that Laurel writes - letters to deceased, well known personalities. The entire thing starts as an assignment for English class in which Laurel's teacher asks them to write to someone who is already dead - so Laurel decides to write to Kurt Cobain because her sister loved his music so deeply.

But after a whike, it seems like Laurel can't stop - she continues writing those letters for almost an entire year, to Amelia Earhart, Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, River Phoenix - to name a few. And with each letter, Laurel reveals a little more about herself and all the things that have led up to her sister's death, but also lets the reader in on happier things, like the new people she meets and becomes friends with at her new school and her personal growth.

Through the letters, the reader eventually discovers that May, who was older than Laurel, was a very outgoing and social person who loved to party. Both her and her sister's life changed when she started seeing an older guy, whose friend sexually abused Laurel whenever they met.
When confronted with what had happened to her younger sister after meeting up with the men one night, May gets furious, climbs onto a bridge and ends up falling to her death. It is unclear to Laurel whether it was suicide or a horrible accident.
Following that incident, Laurel's live falls apart. Her already divorced mother moves across the country, she has to switch school.

I will admit that the entire letter situation made it a little difficult for me to get into the book and connect with Laurel at first - I had the exact same issue with 'The Perks Of Being A Wallflower' back in the day - but eventually, I warmed up to it.

And thank god I did, because this book has amazed me on so many levels.
For one, the way that the story unfolds for us as the reader might seem slow at first because we obviously only get as much information as Laurel is comfortable with sharing, which at the beginning is basically none. But every time she does reveal something about herself and/or her past, you get so sucked into it - you want, no, you need to know more about what happened to her.
That way, you actually start to care about the girl telling your her story, you start to connect with her, even empathize with her.

I also really enjoyed the character development taking place throughout the story - not only Laurel's, even though hers was definitely the strongest, but also her family's and her friends'. There are so many different people involved in this who all have different stories it might seem confusing at first, but it does tie together quite nicely and gives and insight into various difficult issues like toxic relationships, illnesses and homosexuality.

Overall, 'Love Letters to the Dead' is an amazing coming-of-age story about grief, friendship and recovery that is definitely not a light read but will leave you with some very deep, raw feelings.

'Love Letters to the Dead' by Ava Dellaira is available on Amazon for only 7,30€.

Fall Beauty Wishlist

Ever since I started blogging in late January, seasonal wishlists have become a thing on my blog - I feature both a spring and a summer wishlist throughout this year. I mean obviously, because with every new season come new styles and shades and all kinds of new beauty realses that I get to swoon over!

Beauty wise, fall is kind of a big deal to me as it's finally acceptable for me to dig out some of my favorite products again - the berry lippies, the metallic eyeshadows and the long pamper evenings - they're all coming back now!

1. KIKO 'Rebel Romantic' Metallic Shine Eyeshadow in 'Superb Beige'(6,90€)

KIKO is a brand that I've only had really great experiences with - they're offering high quality products to an insanely affordable price. How are they doing it? I have no clue.

KIKO also comes out with multiple limited editions throughout the year, and while I refrained from buying any of those up 'til now, I couldn't resist the lipsticks their 'Rebel Romantic' range has to offer.
While I was busy spendingmoney on those much needed lippies, I also swatched some of the range's eyeshadows - and this one looked especially lovely. Sadly, I didn't have enough money left to buy it.

2. MAC Mate Lipstick in 'Diva' (20€)

I don't have to tell you about how I feel about MAC lipsticks is because even though they're pretty expensive for a student like me, they're more than a guilty pleasure. They're a fulll on love-affair.

I own five of them so far, but I realized that they're all more on the springy/summery side, so I thought it was time for a proper color for the colder seasons. And this is where Diva comes in.
I'm not going to lie, the shade intimidates me a little because it's so bold, but the burgundy red is so pretty that I want to give it a try.

3. Lush 'Castastrophe Cosmetic' Mask (10,45€)

Face masks are a hit-miss situation for me. They either improve my skin drastically, or they leave it looking even more spotty than it did to beginn with.
Thank god I stumbled upon the ones Lush has to offer one day because ever since then, my skin has been improving greatly.

I tried both the Cupcake and the Mask Of Magnaminty before, out of which I liked the Cupcake one better - both because of the results and because it smells absolutely delicious - so once I run out of the one I'm currently using, I want to try the Catastrophe Cosmetic, which is said to both vitalize and cleanse young skin.

,4. Urban Decay Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette (47,99€)

I know, I know. It looks like someone didn't get the memo. You might remember that once this bad boy was released, everyone and their mother was raving about it. Seriously, I wish I could've been doing that exact same thing.
There was only one problem - I didn't have the funds to buy the damn thing.

And guess what - I still don't! There always seems to be something bigger to save up for. Sigh.
Anyways, Urban Decay's eyeshadows are the best I tried to date and the shades this one comes with look ridiculously pretty - and they're mostly shimmery as well! Right up my alley.

5. Lancôme 'La Vie Este Belle' Intense EdT (106€)

Franzi and her perfumes. Can't she just let them be? The answer is no.
I blame this one on the endless amount of magazines I've been reading lately because they come with quite a lot of samples, and one faithful day, one of them included a sample of this Lancôme perfume.

As the word 'intense' suggest, it does smell rather strong - but of very pleasant things, like oranges, hazelnut, pears and Jasmine. There are so many different fragrance thrown in there, like fruity and floral ones, that I don't really understand how it works out so perfectly.
Judging by its price tag, this one might have to wait for my Christmas lists though - I mean, unless I happen to win the lottery.

6. Maybelline 'The Nudes' Eyeshadow Palette (9,99€)

You might notice a pattern by now. Eyeshadow palettes. Believe me, I know very well that I already own more of those than I could probably use, but they're all different. All beautiful in their own way. I love them all.

Alright, this beauty by Maybelline offers all kinds of nudes - you have your neutrals and your smokeys, mattes and shimmers. There are so many different looks you could create with just this one palette that investing ten bucks in it is totally justified.

7. Models Own Chrome Nail Polish in 'Rose Gold' (7,99€)

For some reason I didn't realize that Models Own is now available on the German high street? What did I miss? Why did no one inform me?

I've been adoring their nail polishes while reading other blogger's reviews on them, and next to all of those have been rave reviews. Their chrome nail polishes look especially appealing to me as I don't own as single polish that looks like that. And even though rose gold is technically not a fall color, it still is pretty darn dreamy.

8. Tanya Burr 'Hollywood' Eyeshadow Palette (8,34€)

You know, I watched Tanya Burr's videos waaay back in the day (and by that I mean around 2012 or 2013), so featuring a product of her very own range is a little bit mental.

I've actually never tired one of Tanya's products, shame on me, but her brand new palettes are very appealing to me (no, I'm not addicted), especially the Hollywood one as all of the shades are very neutral and wearable.

9. Lush 'The Experimenter' Bath Bomb (5,95€)

Lush, you get me every single time.

All of their recently released products look so pretty that I not only wish I could give them a sniff, but take them all home - but as always, the bath bombs are the stars.
Amongst them, 'The Experimenter' stood out to me because the website mentions that it smells of vanilla - swoon - and because of its gorgeous colors.

The Perfect Nude Lip | Beauty

I actually didn't even realize that this post has been sitting in my drafts ever since the beginning of August, waiting ever-so patiently for me to finally finish it - which I obviously never did. Nice one, Franzi. Blogging done right.

Anyways, I'm kind of shocked that I didn't talk about this beauty of a product earlier on my blog, because for one, it's a lippie and y'all know how I feel about those, and it is also the most wearable nude I have found to date.

But before I gabble on, let's have a look at what we're talking about first!

The lipstick in question is MAC's Viva Glam II. It has a Satin finish, which is my favorite out of all the ones MAC has to offer because the formula is slightly more forgiving and less drying on your lips than a matte one might be, yet the color pay-off is still as amazing.

As you can see in the above swatch, the shade might appear to be brown-ish at first - it at least did to me and my Mum, unless we're completely colorblind - but it's actually a muted rosé/beige shade that has some shimmer running through it. But if you're not a fan of shimmer, don't fret - once applied to the lips, it's basically not noticeable.

I found this kind of nude to work really great for my porcelain skin as it doesn't wash me out, nor does it make my rosey undertones stand out drastically like some other lipsticks I tried do.

Application wise, this lipstick's pretty easy to work with. I usually only prepare my lips by using some lip balm to keep them from getting dry before applying the product and I'm good to go.

What I really like about this is its wear time. Thanks to its formula, this lipstick lasts on the lips for around four hours and mostly survives any eating or drinking before I have to touch it up.
Sadly, it doesn't fade as nicely as some of my other MAC lippies do, which means that once it does start to wear off, it will hardly leave a stain and will be pretty noticeable.

Overall, I think that investing 20€ into this lipstick as definitely worth it, not only because of the great quality you get for it, but also because MAC donates every single penny they make from the Viva Glam line to charity.

20 Things To Look Forward To In Fall | Lifestyle

It's the middle of September now, so I think I can freely say it - fall is here!
And, as much as I love the warmth and freedom that come with summer, I'm so excited for the colder seasons to come, because there are so many things they bring into our lives that I'm looking forward to - except for school, because y'know?

Let's have a look at all the awesome things you can look forward to this fall.

1. All the leaves changing color, turning nature into one giant pice of artwork.
2. Lazy evening spent on the sofa, cuddled up with a blanket.
3. Wearing berry lipsticks.
4. Pumpkin spice lattes. Do I need to say any more?
5. Actually, pretty much pumpkin everything.
6. Falling asleep to raindrops knocking on your window.
7. Cozy scarves that are so huge that you could probably also use them as a blanket.
8. HALLOWEEN.
9. Having a hot bath with a bath bomb after a long, exhausting day.
10. Scented candles. All the scented candles.
11. Fall comfort foods - mashed potatoes, stews, roasted potatoes. Mhhmm.
12. Wearing fuzzy socks around the house.
13. Christmas is coming closer and closer. (Still too early for the C-word?)
14. Being able to spend some time in the sun without feeling like you're being cooked inside and/or will melt away.
15. Shaving season's almost over!
16. Getting out your favorite pair of boots again.
17. Kicking around leaves. Let's be real, we all do it. (Obviously when we think no one's watching.)
18. Loads of TV programmes are coming back on.
19. It's basically the season for spooky movies.
20. Inhaling crisp air in the morning.

What's your favorite thing about fall?

Recent Reads #4 | Finding Audrey

I seriously love reading, especially now that it's starting to get colder and fall's slowly creeping its way back into our lives, most of my evenings are spent on the sofa, cuddled up with a blanket, fuzzy socks and a cup of tea - and those are never really complete without a good book.

Now, me being a bookworm and all, I like to say that I read a lot, and that I'm also a pretty quick reader. Seriously, there was a point in my childhood when my Mom would stop buying books for me because she thought that spending 15€ on a book that I read in three days was unnecessary when I could get them at the library.

But jokes on you, Mom, because you got me this book after I had heard so many great things about it and I finished it in less than 24 hours. It was that great.

'Finding Audrey' by Sophie Kinsella, the author of the 'Shopaholic' series, is about Audrey, a teenage girl who experienced bullying at school, leading her to fall into a depression and developing a 'Social Anxiety Disorder'.

Because she is too imtimidated to talk to anyone outside her family, Audrey becomes a prisoner to her own home. Even inside her house, the teen never takes off her sunglasses - eye contact is overwhelming for her.

As she didn't have contact with anyone outside her family and a mental health institution after leaving school, meeting Linus, who's a friend of her brother's is a completely new experience, one that more than just scares her at the beginning.
But Linus kind personality and his open approach, Audrey slowly warms up to him.
Linus convinces her to do something that makes her stomach turn - going outside again. Hey, Starbucks is a start, right?

Having Linus at her side makes Audrey feel like she can do ever more things that scare her - and, even more importantly, she starts feeling that she can find her way back into the real world again.

I don't want to spoil too much of the book's plot because it's something you'll want to read for yourself. The story is narrated by Audrey herself - and even though you might've thought that as this book is about mental disorders, it might be deep and dark, she still makes it feel so light. And she's hilarious.

I loved seeing Audrey grow throughout the book and follwing her on her way too discovery. She is a brave, witty and bright girl. What's great about the way she's written that she's not supposed to attract pity - she manages to make the reader laugh, and once that things start getting serious with Linus, it's obvious that despite her state, she still only a normal teenage girl.

I also loved that her family was so present throughout the book because, and that might just be me, but y'know, they reminded me so much of my own - especially because my brother, much like Frank, is really into gaming. And who knows, maybe my Mom might end up throwing his computer out of the window as well? Stay tuned.

All in all, 'Finding Audrey' is a very sweet coming-of-age story with relateable characters you'll probably fall in love with and some seriously good humor - I mean, it made me laugh out loud while on the bus. And I regret nothing.
One of the best, if not the best book I've read so far this year!

One Sensational Mascara | Beauty

Something that you need to know about me is that I don't have eyelashes, I have stumps, and that's it.
Usually, I need a fair share of mascara so they appear to be the lenght of an average person's eyelashes, which you can imagine I'm insanely thrilled about.

Now, I had been debating whether or not it was a good idea to spend a lot of money on a high end mascara, which might end up not doing what it promises, when I saw that Maybelline's Lash Sensational Mascara was on sale in my local drugstore.
It being one of the most raved about products this year and all, I decided to see for myself if it could live up to all the hype.

As you can see, the wand features a fan-like head with a set of shorter bristles on one side and longer ones on the other. While applying, you use the inner curve to reach the roots of your lashes, then use longer bristles to comb through them, spreading them out in the process.

The wand appears to pick up way too much product, so I usually try to get of any excess product before application. If you still encounter clumpy lashes, combing through them with the longer bristles should take care of the problem.

While I didn't experience any fallout, the mascara's formular is quite wet, which means that I have to be careful to not bat my lashes for a minute or two after application in order for it to not smudge under my eyes.

Besides that, though, it stays in place wonderfully throughout the day without smudging or my lashes getting all stiff and crunchy.

The effect that this mascara has on my lashes is incredible! With just one coat, my lashes more than double in lenght.
While it does add a little bit of volume, this product is just not as great volume wise compared to lenght wise.

So, in conclusion, the Lash Sensational mascara really does do wonders for people who are looking for some extreme lenght and long, uncomplicated weartime, but if you're someone who has naturally long lashes and wants to add a little more volume to them, his might not be the one you're looking for.

5 Things High School Taught Me | Lifestyle

I think that we can all agree on the fact that while high school is not the best time in our lives for most of us, there are a lot of things that you learn throughout the years you spend there - whether it's through some kind of enlightenment or the hard way.

There's always debates going on that our school system does not teach its students things that might be useful later on in life, which I will wholeheartedly agree on because I have not once needed trigonometry after moving out, but y'know, a cooking lesson might've been helpful.

But let's take a look at the actually valuable lessons you should learn throughout your high school years.

1. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

High school is the time when everyone's still pretty much trying to figure out who they are, and with that comes experimenting.
I've had my fair share of, well, let's call them interesting, outfits that I liked to sport throughout my school career, and even though now I cringe when I think about them, wearing those made me realize that it doesn't matter if anyone thinks that those jeans made my butt look huge, or if the color of my sweater didn't appeal to my classmates - it was me who had to feel good in them.

And that's a situation that all of us have to face not only in school, but in every day life as well.

2. Procastinating is not an option.

I'm by no means lazy - I think it's that crippling feeling of anxiety that I get deep down in my stomach when I'm not doing the work I was assigned that keeps me from procastinating - but sometimes, I will just have enough and tell myself that that essay can wait. For a few weeks. Until the night before it's due.

I had to eventually realize that that's not how I was going to get good grades, and that tackling a task shortly after you get it, step by step, so that you will hopefully be finished long before the deadline is way better for both your grades, and mostly your nerves.

3. Most of the things you worry about now won't matter in three months.

Our teenage years are all about the drama, and about 99% of it is completely unnecessary.
Whether you're currently having a meltdown over exams, or teacher, your friends or the game you lost last week, but believe me, in a few months time, you will be looking back at all of those and shake your head at how you could get so worked up about them - if you even remember them at all.

4. Never underestimate the significance of friendship.

High school is tough, and while people like to say that those are the greatest years of our lives, for most students, school resembles hell. The only things that makes the hours that you spent there more worthwhile are your friends, people who can make you laugh - even though you'd rather cry and/or smash your head into your table, people you can rely on for help.

5. Hard work does pay off in the end.

No one likes studying for hours on end, and neither do I, if I'm being honest, but I found that sacrificing those hours in order to revise the things we learnt in class, or to look something up, to write notes, it does show in my grade. Always.

Obviously, you can't go into an exam without any preparation and think that you'll ace it. That could never happen. But don't think that you're wasting your time for nothing when you're starring at your notes, because all the time you invest pays off.

What is something that school taught you?

All Used Up | Empties #3

If there's one good thing that comes with putting yourself on a spending ban, except for the saving money part, of course, is that you get to finally give some love to the stuff you already own and hopefully use some of it up.

And as so, ever since my last empties post all the way back in July, I tried to stay low on the spending side of things and devoted myself to finishing up all those products that were lurking on my dressing table and in my drawers, which led to quite some used up products pilling up in yet another dresser.
No, that's not trash, Mom. I need that for my blog.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation (12€)

Just in case you didn't know, because I mean, it's not like I talk about it all the freaking time, this foundation was an absolute game-changer for me, as Rimmel offers it in the shade 'Light Porcelain' - the first ever shade of a foundation to match my insanely pale skin.
I enjoyed every drop of this foundation. It's so lightweight that you could think that you're not wearing anything on your face at all. It also made my skin look really glowy and gave it a lit-from-within look, which makes it ideal for the colder season when my skin will probably seem a little dull.

Would I repurchase?

I already have! I loved the foundation so much that I immediately went and repurchased it once I was about to run out of my first one, but I haven't gotten to use it much as I tanned quite a lot soon after and it now is a tad too light for me.

The Body Shop Body Sorbet in 'Pink Grapefruit' (13€)

I used this product so much this summer that I knew I would use it up more sooner than later, but I was still upset when I did. I'm not joking.
The smell of this is absolutely gorgeous, it does smell very much like grapefruit and the smell lingers for a while after you've used it, which I love. It also sinks into the skin really fast, which is great for people like me who have no patience whatsoever. And it made my legs feel heavenly soft. It was really worth every single penny I paid for it.

Would I repurchase?

Even though I loved this body sorbet to bits, I want to try and use some of the other body lotions/milks I have hidden in my bathroom before I buy anything else.
But once I will have run out of all of those, I actually might.

John Frieda Frizz Ease Beyond Smooth Shampoo (8,99€ for the full size)

This travelled sized version of John Frida's Frizz Ease shampoo was actually given to me for free when I purchased said shampoo, and it was ideal for all the travelling I did in August!
The shampoo promises to rid your hair of any frizz and strenghten its structure more and more with every wash, and I definitely stand by that. It improved my hair's horrible condition so much!
If you're interested in this miracle product, I have a full review up on it here.

Would I repurchase?

I will definitely repurchase the full sized product once I use it up, but the travel sized one might be something that I'll keep in mind for next summer, for when I'm on the move a lot and need a compact product that will still do the job.

Davidoff Cool Water Woman 'Happy Summer' Perfume

When I was rumaging through my perfumes, looking for one that I could take on vacation with me, and I stumbled upon this one, which is actually a hand-me-down from my Mom, who years ago decided to give it to me as she wasn't really using it.
This is probably the most summery perfume that I own! It smells really fruity and tropical - like mangoes and apples, mhhh.
The scent lasted for quite a while, especially considering that it's more of a soft perfume.

Would I repurchase?

As this is a limited edition perfume from back in 2007 (holy hell how long has this been hiding at the back of my drawer), it obviously isn't available anymore.
I don't think I would repurchase it anyway because I usually like to try new perfumes once I used up my old ones.

4 Seriously Good TV Shows | Lifestyle

I think it's safe to say that I'm pretty serious about my TV shows. Serious as in, I just watched a show for six hours straight and now my eyes feel like they're turning into squares.
In all honesty though, this is what most of my summers consist of - and I can't be the only one, right?
In the whole of my sixteen year walking, but mostly lying down, on this earth, I have watched quite a lot of TV programmes, some I got insanely frustrated with, some I followed through with until the very end.

Because of that ever growing list of shows that I try to keep up with, my favorites change and shift every so often, but the ones I included in this list nevertheless stood out to me amongst them all.

1. Pretty Little Liars

I think by now it's no secret that I'm pretty obessed with this show - even though I went on a very angry rant after the mid-summer finale. Come on, it was pretty shitty.

In case you have been living under a rock for the past five years, the show follows the lives of Alison, Hannah, Aria, Spencer and Emily, who are being tormented by an anonymous person who goes by name of 'A'.

It might appear to be a rather typical 'girly' type of show during the first few episodes, but the show develops into so much more.
Next to no show takes such an immense turn on my emotions than Pretty Little Liars. Obviously, there's a lot of drama, but the show includes some amazing friendships, romance and one-liners that have me laughing so hard that my belly hurts.

2. The 100

Alright, I only started watching this show pretty recently, but it has sucked me in so hard that I found myself lying on the sofa, hitting "next episode" again and again and again. I finished the first season in one day. Ssssh,  I know. I'm disgusted at myself.

In 'The 100', the human kind has been living in space after an atomic war which made the earth not surviveable for almost a hundred years - they reside in a space, in a ship called 'The Ark'. When they are about to run out of reserverse, such as oxygen, they send 100 hundred teenagers down to the earth to test if it has finally become survivable again.

I have never gotten sucked into a TV show this fast. I was immediately hooked after I watched the pilot episode, not only the plot was so damn interesting and intense, but mostly because of the characters. The acting in this is incredible, because at times I felt so much for these characters, I screamt or squeeled out loud (especially when I thought that something was going to happen to Finn. Keep the hell away from my baby).
I'm concerned what my neighbors think about me.

3. BBC's Sherlock

Believe me when I say that this one's good, because I would not torture myself with 90 minutes long episodes if it wasn't absolutely awesome.

I've got to admit that Tumblr made me watch this, but boy am I happy that I did.
This show is a modern turn on the orginial Sherlock stories written by Sir Conan Doyle. And it's absolutely freaking brilliant.

I like that this show makes me think alongside Sherlock Holmes, I adore the way it plays out on the screen, and I love the depth of its characters - again, I think I just get very emontionally attached to the characters in next to every show I watch. Is that weird? Please help me.

4. Empire

You could technically class all of the shows on this list as dramas, but none of them do drama quite as Empire does. Seriously, the amount of times my jaw dropped or I gasped out loud at this one are countless.

The show is about Lucious Lyon, the CEO of Empire Entertainment, who is diagnosed with ALS. Looking for a successor to take over the family buisness amongst his three sons Andre, Jamal and Hakeem, he pits them against each other. In the meanwhile, Lucious past comes back to haunt him.

Besides the drama, the main thing that makes this show so freaking great is its music. It's alway present, and it's incredible - I didn't think that this show would give me goosebumps, but the music did the job.

Holiday Outfit | Fashion

Hi y'all, how have you been?
I wanted to share one of my all time favorite outfits with you today as I finally had the chance to have some photos taken while we were on holiday. But not too many, because we have souvenirs to buy and sights to see. Cheers Mom.

I decided to wear this when I explored Freiburg, a city in the very South of Germany , with my family as it's super comfortable yet still still looks somewhat casual chic - all based around that flippin' gorgeous shirt that I picked up while in Berlin.
Shoutout to my friends who encouraged me to buy it when I felt unsure and kind of self-conscious about wearing this in public at first, because now it's become one of my favorite items in my wardrobe. You guys seriously rock.

It was the first warm day after a few really rainy, stormy days, so we got to enjoy the sun, which you tend to get a lot of in Freiburg, to the fullest.
The city is unbelievably beautiful. I'm not a sucker for architecture by any means, which my art teacher will happily confirm, but the buildings in the downtown area are stunning.
You will also find all kinds of stores there, which I had so much fun checking out.
The people there were really funny and kind, which is rather different from the people I tend to come across in my hometown.

Altogether, it was one of the nicest days I had this summer - I'm still not okay with the fact that it's technically already over, nope - and I really want to visit that place again one day to slurp lattes in a nice cafe, browse through the stores!
