18 Things I'm Excited for This Fall

Happy fall y'all! Now that September is upon us, it's officially fall - or autumn, if you're from Britain. Now, I myself don't have a favorite season because I'll always find something that I adore about a certain time of the year, such as long summer nights and pool days in summer or Christmas and snow days in winter.

However, I feel like there's just something special about fall - the scent of pumpkins and of change is in the cool, breezy air; all the best foods make a comeback and nature turns the prettiest of colors.
As I've seen so many people on Twitter and Instagram who were buzzing for the new season, I thought I'd share some of the things I'm super excited for this fall!

5 Excerpts from a Novel I'll Never Write

Writing has been my way to escape and to process my thoughts and emotions, it has been for as long as I can remember. I've always been writing short stories or experimenting with poems, and for over two years, I've been writing for this blog.

However, while I've been writing short and sweet pieces for what feels like my entire life, it has always been my dream to write a novel. A full-blown book, from start to finish - not like all the stories I started writing and then just kind of stopped because my motivation fizzed out.
Now that I'm just four weeks away from graduation, I have a lot more time on my hands, though, so I'm one step closer to actually start working on it!

Even though I have an acutal concept and even a few characters in my head that I'd love to play around with, I have not written out anything at all yet, probably because I've spent the past two months studying 24/7. However, now and then, sentences or short passages pop into my head that I'd love to incorporate into my novel, if I was to ever write it.
Because of that, I thought that I'd share five extracts from the novel I might never write with you guys today!

18 on 18

So. This is a bit awkward. It's been so long since I last sat down to write a blog post and I can't even describe how bad I feel for neglecting my little corner of the internet - and because of that, I didn't quite know how to get back into writing.

During the period of my disappearance (sounds a little more mystical than what really happened - being burried in workload and having a mental health crisis, but more on that at a later time), I happened to turn 18, so I decided to pick up an idea I had on my last birthday.

Last February, I shared 17 things I had learnt in the years leading up to my birthday, and since turning 18 means (technically) becoming an adult, I thought that it would be interesting to share some more important lessons I've learnt on my way to adulthood.
So, without further ado, let's get into it!

20 Things I Look Forward to in Fall

Isn't it crazy how we're already onto the middle of September? Time truly does fly - and now I feel like a complete granny for saying this, but it's true! Fall seems to creep up on us more and more every day, and even though the weather has been exceptionally great and it still feels like the peak of summer around here, the leaves are starting to turn colorful already.

I feel like I say this about all seasons, but I feel like fall might be my favorite. There's so many good things that come with fall that I look forward to all year long, and because I'm sure you reading this either love this time of the year as much as I do or a just curious to learn about the things I love, I decided to share some of the things I look forward to this fall with you!

1. Lighting candles in the evening.

2. The new semester - not necessarily because of classes because dude, that's too much effort after summer break, but because a new semester means new stationary!

3. Rainy days spent in bed with a good book.

4. Colder days so I can finally wear my favorite sweaters again.

5. Pumpkin spice lattes. I know, it sounds so basic, but I do actually like them quite a lot. I would've already had one if it wasn't still 30 degrees outside!

6. Actually, pretty much pumkin everything.

7. New seasons of all the TV shows. Except for Pretty Little Liars. I'm suffering.

8. Fall DIY projects.

9. Halloween.

10. Getting out all of my fairy lights again.

11. Family movie nights,

12. All of the leaves outside my bedroom window turning a million different colors. It's like watching a painting unfold.

13. Wearing my favorite pair of boots.

14. Scented candles.

15. Making up ideas for cute Christmas presents. Don't laugh, I'm that organized and think of those things months in advance.

16. Scarves. I bloody love snuggly scarves that are so huge they can also be used as blankets.

17. Jumping around in a pile of leaves because I'm really a four year old at heart.

18. Funfairs - so many pop up where I live around this time, it's a dream!

19. Bonfires with marshmallow and s'mores.

20. Spending more time with the people I love, the people who believe in me and make me a better person.

Is there something special you look forward to this fall?

How To Get A Good Night's Sleep | Lifestyle

I love sleep just as much as your average teenager or young adult does, but I've somehow always struggled with getting a good night's rest. I either try to - and fail to - fall asleep for hours, or I keep waking up several times a night, or I wake up at 3am and can't fall back asleep.

My sleeping issues started to increase my stress levels even more during my finals, which I took in December and January, which meant that I turned into an actual insomniac. The dark circles under my eyes testify that - they haven't completely disappeared yet.
Obviously, I had to do something about the fact that I didn't sleep a wink, so I tried quite a few things that were supposed to help me fall asleep - and as I can't be the only one who's struggling with getting a good night's sleep, I'm going to share the four things that helped me out the most with you guys!

1. No screens before bed:

This is what most people told me when I asked them for advice, and even though I've always believed this to be a hoax, it definitely works.
I've always been that person that turns off their laptop and TV, just to creep into bed and whip out their phone. No lie, occasionally I even fell asleep with my phone in my hand - am I the only one who does this?
However, turning off any kind of screen, be it my computer, TV or phone, around 30 minutes before going to sleep has definitely helped me with falling asleep. I used that time to sit down in bed and read a little - I'd forgotten how soothing that can be! Putting down the electronica definitely helped me calm down before bed, which is the first step to getting some quality sleep.

2. Having a hot bath:

I don't know if that's just me, but whenever I'm having a hot bath I start to feel insanely tired and somewhat dizzy around twenty minutes in. However, that means having a nice, hot bath just before heading to bed can work wonders when it comes to sleep!
I've found that whenever I use bath bombs or bubble bars, flowery and fresh scents like rose and lavender work their magic a lot better than heavy, sweet scents.

3. Exercising:

I admit it, I'm not exactly what you'd call fit - actually, I'm pretty lazy - so this point is not something that I would have ever included in my evening routine, but when I did manage to remove my butt from the sofa and actually exercised, it did affect the way I slept more than I had ever imagined.
I'm not even talking about heavy exercise, but rather yoga, which does not leave absolutely breathless but definitely helps me focus and still leaves me tired so I can have a quick shower and then creep into bed!

4. Don't eat late:

I never thought that eating at later hours would affect the quality of my sleep, but apparently it does!
For one, eating after 6pm to 7pm means that you're most likely to gain more weight than you would if you were eating at an earlier time - this counts for both dinner and snacks - but it also means that as your stomach will be busy dealing with your late night snack, your body will be able to relax a lot less, which in turn means that you'll probably either have trouble falling asleep or at least not sleep very well at all.

5. Pillow Spray:

This was actually a tip my Mom gave me - she's dealt with some heavy sleeping problems as well and whenever she just couldn't seem to be able to fall asleep, she used the AVON Planet Spa 'Sleep Serenity Pillow Spray', which smells of lavender and chamomile - not at all persistent, it rather lingers on the pillow and makes you feel insanely sleepy within less than two minutes - absolutely amazing, especially if you can't find anything else that seems to work for you.
Another blogger's favorite when it comes to pillow sprays is the this works 'Deep Sleep Pillow Spray', which is supposed to work wonders.

Is there anything that helps you when you're struggling to fall asleep?

17 Healthy Beauty Habits To Get Into | Beauty

Like a lot of things, make up is something that I personally learnt more about through trial and error. I bet all of you now have a picture of your younger selfes experimenting with your Mom's beauty collection or buying a foundation that is approximately three shades to dark for you, but you spent all of your pocket money on it and all the cool kids wore make up, so you totally wore it anyways. Because obvs.

I don't think any of us have gone through this journey without passing up a deadly beauty sin, and when you're still young and clueless, that is okay.
But now that I'm older and have gone a few years with this little hobby - or obsession - of mine, I
learnt an important thing or two regarding beauty that every girl should keep in mind.

And because there is still so much more to learn and I love reading these kinds of posts to see if there's still a way I could better myself, I'm going to share some healthy beauty habits that every single one of us should get into!

1. Remove all of your make up once you're done with your day.
2. Allow your skin a make up-free day once in a while.
3. Clean your brushes at least once a week.
4. Find a skin routine that fits your skin type and stick to it.
5. Never use face wipes to remover your make up. Ever.
6. Get matched to a foundation's shade before buying a random one and realizing that it either makes you look like you haven't slept in days or like you fell into orange paint.
7. File your nails every once in a while.
8. If you have no idea what you're doing, get your eyebrows plucked professionally. It'll save you the hassle of overplucked or shaven eyebrows.
9. Use an exfoliating face mask once a week to rid your pores of any the dirt or blackheads.
10. Never get your hands near your face unless you have to.
11. Always wear sunscreen during summer - there is nothing worse than sunburns,
12. Wash your hair every second day to avoid greasy hair getting in your face and causing breakouts.
13. Exfoliate your legs once a week.
14. Get a your hair cut every 2 months - that'll help grow in a healthy manner without getting dull, thin or even falling out.
15. Do not pick your nails. They'll just get more frail and will end up breaking.
16. Don't wear a full face of make up on a hot summer day. It will be extremely uncomfortable and might even clog your pores. Opt for something lighter, like a BB creme - or go without wearing anything at all!
17. Use hand lotion daily. Your hands will thank you in a few years' time.

What is one beauty habit you would advise others to get into?

5 Things Travelling Taught Me | Travel

Being a mostly broke student whose money is spent on bills, food and other addictions, aka lipsticks, I'm obviously not the most well-travelled person, even though I'd like to be one day.

But I already had a few experiences while travelling myself, some of which have certainly been more pleasant than others, but in my eyes I have so far always come home with a new lesson learnt - so I tought: why not share some of them with you guys?

1. Meeting various people from all around the world has opened my eyes to the fact that it's so important to value the little things.
No matter if it's the time you get to spend with family and friends, having fun and being careless, or the people who make your travels go smoother, like stewardesses and hotel staff, or a day out exploring the city, or a nice meal at the end of the day.
I feel like I don't treasure those things as much as I should, and whenever I'm away on holiday I realize that I shouldn't take them for granted.

2. Stepping away from the internet, social media and my phone and laptop in general is way more relaxing than I would've ever tought.
I don't think we realize how much of our life we spend on the internet, and how consuming it can get - and how shitty the internet can make us feel.
Not being able to use my phone for most of the time when I spent three weeks in the US left me feeling more relaxed than I had been in a long time, without worrying about constantly checking social media or staying in touch with people. Really, that works wonders.

3. If you can survive seeing someone almost 24/7 for a week or two without going insane or snapping and falling out with them, they really are amazing friends that you should keep close to your heart.
I've been on quite a few school trips and shared rooms with more people then I could remember, and I lost my marbles more than once - the only people whose throats I haven't been at yet are girls who I've been friends with for over five, some of them even ten years now. After travelling with them to completely unkown countries, I now know that I can count on them in any kind of situation, from sudden lady problems to pushy guys, language barriers, or getting stuck in a bathroom stall.

4. Getting homesick is part of the whole thing. It doesn't always happen to me, but there will most definitely come a point when you're seven thousand miles away from home and your day hasn't gone the way you wanted it to and you lost a 20 dollar note and then you dropped a bowl of cereal and you'll find yourself sitting on the kitchen floor, crying and wishing your Mom was there to comfort you, or even just to laugh at you for being so dramatic.
Same applies for being lonely, especially whe you're travelling with a large group of people who are all friends and you kind of feel like the odd one out. It won't always be that way, don't worry. Both they and you will open up to one another after one or two days - I became friends with people who appeared to absolutely despise me when we started our trip.

5. When you're going abroad, don't just stick to your culture and look for restaurants that offer food you know.
Exploring a new place's culture is the most interesting thing about being away from home - yes, it's not all swimming in the hotel's pool or tanning on the beach.
Get out of your hotel, take a cab and drive downtown, and just wander. Get lost. Go into a local pub, or a cafe, or a restaurant. Have a look around the shops. Mingle with the locals. You will get so much more out of that one day of adventure than you would out of a day spent trying to tan and getting a sunburn.

What is something that you have learnt while travelling?

Carry-On Essentials | Travel

It's finally July! For me, this month means freedom - even though I'm technically still in school - tan lines, and obviously, travelling!

As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I'm leaving for Berlin next week, and I'm also going to travel some more with my family in August. So, to celebrate the fact that it's the most wonderful time of the year and I'm finally getting out of my home town and out into the big, wide world again, I decided to share a series of a few travel and summer related posts on here.

To me, doing some planning before going on a trip is mandatory. If I don't make a list of what I need to pack, I will live in constant fear that I'll have forgotten something important, and probably have a breakdown once I'm on my way. Not the greatest start for a holiday.
That doesn't aplly for my suitcase only, but also for my carry-on.
And because your carry-on is supposed to support you during your journey, especially if you're facing a long flight or train/bus/car journey, I wanted to share my absolute carry-on essentials.

First off, I'll obviously need my passport. That's the one thing you need to remember no matter what, especially if you're looking to leave the country.

As long journey can get really boring over time, I usually carry a few things to keep me entertained, because y'know, the entertainment system on your plane might not be working and you'll be stuck on an eight hour flight without any movies to watch. (That was hell, by the way.)
To avoid said situation, I usually pack a book - for my Berlin trip, that'll be The Maze Runner, which I've wanted to read for ages, as well as my phone and my headphones - the latter might also come in handy when you're seated next to someone who likes to talk, or someone who won't stop snorring...

And, as excessive phone use is going to drain your battery sooner or later, I make sure to always have my portable charger with me on journeys - this has saved my butt so many times, while sitting in London Heathrow for five hours or when I realized that I didn't charge my phone over night - every buck I invested in this was worth it.

Travelling can wear you out quite a bit, leaving you feeling dirty and/or poorly. To deal with that, I keep a few things to pamper myself a little in my carry-on. Body sprays are definitely a must in my eyes, as you'll probably end up getting somewhat smelly, and no one wants that. Victoria's Secret do a wide range of those, all of which smell absolutely gorgeous!
As my hands get pretty dry on an average day, heat or air-conditioning can wear them out even more - because of this, I want to have some hand creme with me to help with those bad boys. Same thing applies for my lips, which are also on the drier side and tend to get a little chipped - lip balm, like my EOS one right here, is very much needed.
And for my hair, which often turns into a knotty mess when I go for a few hours without brushing, I pack my Tangle Teezer, which appears to be the only hair brush to work with my hair at this point.

We all know that the food you get on a plane and train is pretty much either hit or miss, so I like having some snacks with me - as chocolate would not survive the summer heat and a bag of chips probably wouldn't fit, Haribo's gummi bears are usually an easy choice. And to battle bad breath, which, let's be real here, we all get during a longer journey, chewing gum is your best friend.

Lastly, I like having my sunglasses in my carry-on as you can hide your dark circles and tired eyes under them, while looking like a celebrity that just got off the plane from LA. Are you famous or just half asleep? The world may never know.

What is something that you need to have in your carry-on?

Beauty Advice I Wish I'd Listened To | Beauty

There are quite a few things learnt best through trial and error, and I wholeheartedly believe that make up falls into that category.

I mean, we've all gone through phases of wearing sticky lipgloss, smudged eyeliner that made us look like pandas and concealers that left us looking bright orange - and that's normal, right?
Please tell me I'm not the only one who has those phases documented in family photos. I cringe every single time I look at them. Why.

While I definitely started figuring this whole make up thing out over the years, I feel like there are a few pieces of beauty advice that would have saved me a lot of hassle had I listend to them - but no, my twelve year old me was obviously a lot smarter than that.

1. Suprise, suprise - you can actually ask the lovely ladies at the counters in stores to match your skin to a shade of your desired concealer or foundation. Months and months spent looking orange could've been avioded.

2. Just because a certain skin care product works for someone else, it might not necessary work for you - in fact, it will probably make your insanely sensitive skin break out in a rash that'll keep you company for a while. Just ask an expert - they'll certainly know what they're doing more than you ever will.

3. Make up shouldn't be something you hide behind - it should be a way for you to express yourself and to highlight all those little things you like about yourself.

4. You can't just smudge your eyeliner into your eyeshadow and call it a "smokey eye". It's not a smokey eye, it's simply a mess and certainly not a good look.

5. Having a good diet will show in your hair, nails, but most importantly, your skin.

6. Wear sunscreen. This is so, so important. I don't know what I was thinking when I purposely exposed my skin to the sun for hours on end. That my extremely pale skin would magically get a glowing tan? Well, it certainly didn't. In fact, it often peeled off completely.
Don't do this to yourself, friends.

7. Do not use make up wipes to remove your make up. Like, ever.
They will not remove the majority of your make up, but what they'll do is help you spread all kinds of nasty germs across your face - and you wouldn't want that, right?

8. Simply washing your hair every other day just won't cut it in a few years time - if you don't look after it and keep damaging by using heat on it frequently, you will leave it being dry and damaged, and if you're really unlucky, it might even fall out. You don't want to go throught that. Believe me.

9. This kind of goes hand in hand with number three - never wear make up just to impress someone else. If they really are worth it, they will love you with all those small imperfections you cover.
Wear make up for yourself, and only for yourself.

10. Bold lips can be really scary - they're hard to apply and if they smudge or end up on your teeth, you will feel like crying out of sheer frustration, but all that fuss is so worth it.
A bold lip definitely is an eye catcher - and lets be real here, it makes you feel really kick ass.

That is only a few of the thing that I have swarming around my head when I look at those disastrous old photos of myself - I bet there's a lot more things I could've covered, but let's be honest, none of you would've had the nerve to read all that.

What is some beauty advice that you wish you'd listened to?

How To Pass Your Exams | Lifestyle

I hate to break it to you, fellow students, but spring break has offically come to an end - getting up at 5.30 for classes tomorrow will be truly depressing - and you all know what that means. Right, final exams.

Something that I have been good at for pretty much my entire life is studying - not so much of a party trick, but pretty handy when it comes to surviving the worst time of the school year.
To be honest with you, there has not been a year when I didn't walk out of there with less than an A average.

I know a lot of people who are struggling with finding a method that works for them, so I want to share some tips that help me handle studying with you guys.

1. Declutter your workspace

I can't stress this one enough! Your workspace is the base for what you achieve or don't achieve.
I myself can't concentrate on what is in front of me when I'm surrounded with a ton of stuff and I can imagine that I'm not the only one.
Get rid of everything that isn't contributing to your studies - your phone/laptop, bottles, food, little piles of trash, what have you.
Put it away where you don't see it - that way, it will not distract you from working.

2. Don't leave it 'til the last minute

Regarding exams, I've next to never done this before because my anxiety always gets the best of me, but it has happened with smaller projects before.
I know how tempting a Netflix marathon or a day out with your friends might seem, and there is always going to be a valid enough reason to procastinate, but at one point you will find yourself sitting at your desk at 10pm the day before your exam without having revised, and we both know that an all-nighter filled with lots of coffe, redbull and panic is not going to cut it.

As harsh as it sounds, you will have to plan ahead, especially if you have a bunch of exams in a small period of time.
Make a study schedule - don't try to overdo it, studying for seven hours on end isn't going to benefit you. Set one to two hours of revision for one exam on one day, on the other day, to the same for a different exam - that way, you're not focusing too much on one single subject.

3. Delete social media from your phone

Yes, social media are very, very tempting. But there are only so many times you can refresh your instagram feed until you're running out of new things to read, and surely, twitter will wait.
The best way to stop picking up your phone for "a short break" every five minutes is to temporarily delete all of the social media apps of your phone. When you're done with your exams, you can easily download them again, so no damage is done.

If you still find yourself using your phone rather than reading your notes, there are a few apps that let you block yourself from using your phone for a set amount of time in order to stop it from distracting you.

4. Worrying is counter-productive

I worry a lot, about a lot of things, but mostly about school. When I know I have the final of a subject that I'm not exactly great at - Maths or Physics, cough - I will already sweat and shiver before even picking up my notes for revision.
Remember that when you've done a decent job at revising, you do not have anything to fear when it comes to the exam. Yes, there might be some tricky questions, but don't fret. After some thinking, you will probably be able to figure even those out.
Panicking is the worst thing you can do to yourself.

5. Give yourself a break

As I mentioned above, endless study sessions are not gonna do you any good - you'll end up burning yourself out and probably forgetting half the stuff you revised.
Ways to relax between revision periods are going for walks, rewarding yourself - because hey, you've totally earned it - or talking to someone about/writing down the things that stress you out.
Don't give yourself such a hard time.

And in the end, remember that you're only human, and if you don't achieve everything that you want to, that is okay, because that's what we do. We get knocked on our butts and get up again to do it better next time.

What is a method that helps you revise more efficently?

Thank you so much for reading!

My Top 5 Spring Nail Polishes | Beauty

It's finally April, which marks the offical beginning of spring to me.
Yeah, I know that technically, spring started in March, but April is the month that lots of flowers start to bloom, the trees start to get green again and the days get longer and most importantly, warmer - or at least, that should be the case, but of course, Germany has been blessen with storms, rain, and even actual snow yet again.

That doesn't stop me from trying to inject some color into my life, though.
Gone are the days of blacks, dark purples and reds - during spring, I like to dig out pastels and brighter colors when it comes to my nails.

As you guys seem to have liked my top five spring lipsticks, today I want to share my five favorite nail polishes with you!

1. Rimmel Rita Ora 60 Seconds Polish in 'Breakfast in Bed'

This is one of my all time favorite nail polishes.
'Breakfast in Bed' is a slightly brighter mint mint shade and dries to a semi matte finish.
You'll need at least two coats of this for the color to apear vibrant, but fear not, this polish actually dries almost as fast as it claims to on the bottle.
I was suprised that this didn't chip as quickly as the other Rimmel nail polish I own. It takes anywhere between three to six days before you'll eventually have to take this off.
If you want to read a more in depth description on this, you can check my review of it out here.

2. Maybelline Color Show Bleached Neons in 'Sun Flare'

Alright, so for some reason this shade came out more yellow-ish on camera, but believe me, it actually is more of a bright, neon orange.
I originally bought this one last year to wear during summer, but this year, I've been loving it on my nails for spring as well.
This is definitely a two coat job, which wouldn't be too bad if it didn't take absolute ages to dry.
The longevity of this is really okay, it stays put for three to four days before seriously chipping.
Sadly, 'Bleached Neons' was one of Maybelline's limited editions and sadly isn't available anymore.

3. Avon Nailwear Pro+ in 'Viva Pink'

If you're a regular reader, you'll know how much I love my Avon products. Their nailpolishes are no exception.
This shade might not be for everyone, it is a pretty vibrant pink with a shiny finish, which a lot of people would probably class as a summer shade, but I love to wear this when I'm feeling more of a popping color.
Most of the time, one coat of this is enough to get a fair share of color, and it doesn't take too long to dry either!
Chipping wise, this is pretty neat. It stays on my nails for about a week before I have to repaint them, which is incredible for the lazy gal in me!

4. LR Colours Longlasting Nail Polish in '2'

This might be my most used nail polish of all time because it's great for all year 'round, but an especially great color for spring!
The shade '2' is a very light pastel pink with a slightly shiny finish.
The only downside of this is that because of the super light color, this is a three coat job - which makes the entire process of paiting my nails seems freaking endless.
This lasts for ages. There have been points where I wore this shade for over a week and it still looked fine.

5. Givenchy Le Vernis Nail Lacquer in 'Rose Taffetas'

Again, if you're not a new reader, you might've seen me feature this in my February favorites or my review on it.
'Rose Taffetas' is a coral-ish, darker pink shade which I found to go well with most pieces in my wardrobe.
After applying only one coat of this, it dries to a slightly shiny finish, which looks very chic.
Sadly, despite the hefty price tag, I still haven't found a way to stop this polish from chipping, which is seriously annoying. I usually have around three, sometimes only two days until it starts coming off.

So these are the five nail polish shades that I'll probably have on rotation this spring.
What are some polishes that you love for this time of the year?

Thank you so much for reading!

20 Things That Make Me Happy

It is Friday, the 27th of March - to a lot of high school students like me, that random date sounds like music - because it's the start of spring break!

The past week has been absolutely great for me, I've been in a good mood every single day which probably scared my Mom as she likes to point out how grumpy I sometimes am - my Dad, however, probably blamed it on my hormones.

Anyhow, being that happy and at ease made me think about something - what are some of the things
that make me feel that great?

As y'all seemed to like the last list I shared with you (you can find that here), I decided to put together 20 of the things that make me smile and never fail to put me in a good mood.

1. Going for walks on warm summer evenings.

2. Discovering a new book and getting completely lost in it.

3. Friends who make you forget about all your troubles for a while when you spend time with them.

4. Eating a huge bowl of ice cream all by myself and not feeling bad about that in the slightest.

5. Wearing a bold lipstick and feeling like I'm ready to kick ass.

6. Going on rollercoasters and screaming on top of my lungs.

7. Snuggling up with a hot chocolate, a thick blanket and fuzzy socks on a cold winter day.

8. Digging out some brighter colours, no matter if clothes or make up, once spring rolls around.

9. Bumping into friends I haven't seen in ages by suprise.

10. Taking hour long baths with candles and a Lush bath bom. (totally just did that.)

11. Getting up and looking out of the window to feel the sunshine and its warmth on my face.

12. Puppies and kittens. Enough said.

13. Taking a stand and actually voicing my opinion, because, believe it or not, I might come across as tough and loud-mouthed, but I can be such a chicken shit.

14. Helping someone become better at something and seeing a smile on their face.

15. People who challenge me to become a better version of myself.

16. Taking my Mom out for a girl's day shopping downtown.

17. Waking up on Saturday morning thinking that I have to get up and realizing that I have the day off and can doze off into dreamland again.

18. People who smile at you when you walk past them - that little gesture just make me feel all warm and fuzzy.

19. Watching Pretty Little Liars. Yep, that's a thing. It's just that show that I'll turn to when I feel down because I'll still get excited about all the mysteries to solve after five freaki' years.

20. You guys. And I'm by no means trying to be cheesy, I just want you to know how much I appreciate your support. When I started this blog just about two months ago, I'd never thought that so many people would comment on what I've got to say and even follow me. This blog has easily become one of my happy places.

To be honest, I thought that this would take me quite some time to write because usually, whenever I get a great idea and want to note it down, my brain has some kind of meltdown.
But this wasn't hard at all.
I feel like, over the past few years, I've managed to become a much, much happier person and I've started finding joy in the little things.
Who thought I'd actually start reflecting on my life all of a sudden!

I hope that maybe one of the things on my list made you smile, or that my list made you think about what makes you happy and realize how far you've come.

Thank you so much for reading!
